Dual Enrollment is a unique enrichment program in which high school students are given the opportunity to take college courses in their own school through Southside Virginia Community College’s program. Students complete their high school requirements for graduation, while also earning college credits. Mecklenburg County Public Schools’ students meeting certain criteria may enroll in the Associate’s Degree program in their ninth grade year. Students in grades 11 and 12 may also enroll in Dual Enrollment classes. Students who are interested in enrolling in Dual Enrollment courses should see their guidance counselor about to taking the readiness tests to determine eligibility.
